    • 1. Short-term general affairs (C-3)
    • C-3 visa is for those who will stay in Korean on a short-term basis for touring, transit, medical care, visiting relatives, goodwill matches, attendance at events or conferences, culture and arts, general training, lectures, attendance at religious ceremonies, gathering learning references, etc. (90 days) This visa will be good for students who wants to take a one-term language course and it can be issued immediately upon application at either a Korean Embassy or Consulate office.
      A student who wants to study another term can change from a C-3 to a D-4 visa.

    • 2. General trainning (D-4)
    • A D-4 visa is for those who will study and train in the educational and academic institution that meets their studying abroad conditions(D-2), or in another educational institution or organization [except those who are paid by a training institution or meet the institutional training conditions(D-3)]. This visa can be renewed within Korea. Since the application process for the visa takes more than one month, one should apply for it at least one and a half months prior.
